What we keep
Your account contains your name, email, a password hash, verification state and optional encrypted two-factor credentials. We also store your prompts, drafts, screenshots, comments, ratings, saved collection and reports. Public pages show your name and published content; your email and drafts stay private.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide accounts, keep collections, publish your work, send account emails, prevent abuse and handle moderation. Providing your account and publishing your work supports our service agreement; protecting the service and handling reports serves our legitimate interest in a safe community. Optional analytics and marketing emails require your consent. Moderators with assigned permissions can review submissions and reports. We do not sell your data.
Cookies & this browser
Essential session and security cookies keep you logged in and protect forms. Saved ideas for guests use this browser’s local storage. Clearing browser storage removes guest saves.
Prompt activity
Prompt pages show distinct view and copy counts. We use a random, encrypted first-party browser identifier for guests, or a keyed hash of your signed-in account. The browser identifier lasts one year. Activity records store only a one-way identifier, prompt and first-copy time; they do not contain your IP address, email, prompt text or clipboard contents. Clearing cookies or using another browser can count as another guest. Common automated browsers and crawlers are excluded. Account deletion removes its activity identifiers while anonymous aggregate totals remain.
Optional analytics
Public browsing pages can use the free Google Analytics service only after you choose Allow analytics. Refusing makes no Analytics requests. Account, sign-in, upload, admin and profile pages are excluded. We send general page types and successful copy actions, without names, emails, searches, prompt text or URL query strings. Recognized launch links can also supply a fixed campaign label and publishing platform; arbitrary link parameters are excluded. Google can receive your IP address and browser information. Analytics cookies last up to 60 days; your choice is remembered on this browser for six months. You can change it below. See Google’s privacy policy.
Advertising
Advertising is disabled in this installation. It makes no Google advertising requests and does not set advertising cookies.
Your choices
Your account keeps a private notification inbox and your notification preferences. You can turn each activity type off. Activity emails are optional and off by default; monthly inspiration has a separate preference. Deleting your account also removes its notifications.
You can update your details, download your account data, withdraw a prompt or delete your account from Account. Account deletion removes your published content, drafts, screenshots, comments and ratings. Some moderation audit entries remain without your account identity. Account records remain until you delete your account; published content and activity records remain while the content is available. Application logs retain up to 14 daily files. Restricted local backups expire after seven days, so deleted data can remain in those restricted backups until they expire.
Other services
Cloudflare provides DNS, HTTPS, traffic protection and the outbound connection to our self-hosted server. It processes request metadata such as IP addresses and browser information. Resend delivers account emails and emails you choose to receive; it processes recipient addresses and message content. These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under their published safeguards. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Resend’s privacy policy.
Copying a prompt does not send it to an AI provider. When you paste it into another service, that provider’s terms and privacy policy apply. Prompterer does not need or store your AI provider credentials.
